Dale Edward Gouge, age 69, of Dublin, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2024, in Charleston, SC. Born on November 19, 1954, in Clearwater, FL, Dale's journey through life was one marked by dedication, service, and the joy of simple pleasures like a good round of golf.
After graduating from Largo High School, Dale went on to honorably serve his country as a member of the United States Army with the 82nd Airborne. His commitment to excellence and leadership continued into his civilian career, where he became a respected Dedicated Operations Manager with Koch Companies. Dale's professional achievements were a testament to his strong work ethic and his ability to inspire those around him.
Dale was a member of the Clearwater First Assembly of God. His spiritual life was a source of strength and comfort throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Deloris Desper Gouge.
Dale's memory will be cherished and kept alive by his beloved wife, Sharon Gouge of Dublin; daughter, Rachel (Dusty) Von Wahlde of Burtrum, MN; his stepson, Tyler Fountain of Montrose; and his adored grandchildren, Olivia, Maverick, and Sylvie Von Wahlde. Dale's sister, Linda (Monti) Currie of Salem, VA, along with several nieces and nephews, also survive.
An avid golfer, Dale found solace and excitement on the greens, where he enjoyed not just the game but the camaraderie of fellow golf enthusiasts.
A memorial service celebrating Dale’s life will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Rev. Randy Mimbs and Mr. Shane Shriver will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Dale's memory be made to Montrose Baptist Church, P.O. Box 86, Montrose, GA 31065.
