Life Legacy

Services for Willis Cannon, age 82 of Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 14, 2013 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Pleasant Plains Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until funeral hour. David Scott Cannon will officiate.
Mr. Cannon was the son of the late Nathan Cannon and the late Eva Stuckey Cannon. He was retired from Engelhard Corporation after 40 years of service. Mr. Cannon was preceded in death by his wife, Janelle Phillips Cannon, a brother Malcolm Cannon and sister Mary E. Sutton. He died Friday, April 12, 2013.
Survivors include his sons, Steve (Jean) Cannon of Dublin, Paul (Julia) Cannon of Danville, David (Rose) Cannon of Dublin, grandchildren, Stephanie (Shawn) Cannon, Melissa (Sid) Bedenbaugh, Ashley Cannon, Kalyn (Brett) Stubby, great grandchildren, Hunter Bedenbaugh, Sydney Bedenbaugh, Asher Stubbs, brother, J. B. Cannon of Jeffersonville and niece, Marsha Coleman of Macon.

Sid Bedenbaugh, Shawn Flanagan, Sam Yarbrough, Tim Yarbrough, Melvin Langford and Brett Stubbs will serve as pallbearers. Fred Greene, Wendell Stuckey, Ronnie Toler and Joel Stuckey will serve as honorary pallbearers.
