I graduated high school with Carlene. She came in to where I work last year. I am so thankful I got to see her and talk to her. She was such a good person and very sweet. She will be highly missed. My prayers are with the entire family for such an unexpected loss. I am still shocked. All I can say is remember the good times and go to God. He can help you through this time.

Carlene was my friend, classmate and neighbor growing up. About 18 years had passed and I ran into her at Saint Patricks Day Festival last year. It was no surprise that she had not changed at all. Carlene was such a special friend. She never judged; she always loved; she always made me feel like what I had to say was important. Whether it was a homeless man on the street (Thanks, Kim, for reminding me about this experience from one of our Charleston trips) or one of her precious children, or a coworker,a family member, or a friend, she always had time to share God's love for us and how much He wants us to love each other. I will truly miss her!

This is immediately what came to mind as I read over everyone's postings. This is so fitting and such a reassurance that God is in control and a better place has been prepared. In times like this...we have to rely on God, family and friends. It breaks my heart for the entire family that you're having to experience such a loss. Carlene was a wonderful person. Aaron and I are forever grateful for the strong love Mrs. Carlene shared with Aaron in his early years. Carlene was Aaron's speech therapist for a few years. Her skills as a speech pathologist were extremely helpful to my son, but her heart and soul, which she shared freely with both of us, was the most helpful to him. Without her open and loving personality, I know my son would not have benefited from the therapy as much as he did. This sounds like a cliche, but the world is truly a dimmer place as a result of her loss and I pray for comfort for you, her loved ones.

Carlene was so Christ like, she had a presents about her that everyone loved. She was sure to spread sunshine everywhere, with her bright smile, loving character and wonderful outlook on life.
