In Memory of
Cheryl R Roberts

Services for Cheryl R. Roberts, age 62 of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Stuckey Cemetery in Wheeler County at 2:00 PM. Dr. Cliff Morris and Rev. Jay Moore will officiate. Ms. Roberts was born in Miami, FL. She was a salesperson for AT&T. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dublin and was a member of the Nancy Smith Sunday School Class. Speaking of Cheryl her mother said this “Oh! The joy that thrills my soul when I think of my Cheryl – Never could anyone have a daughter sweeter, more thoughtful and not only beautiful outside but inside and she loved her Lord Jesus Christ. As a young lady in her teens, she taught a class of intermediate girls – you know sometimes they can be difficult to handle- she had been trained in modeling and charm school and she would tell her class, “all who study their Bible and are able to participate in answering questions from our lesson today will get to participate in a lesson on modeling.” Guess how many were in her class at the end of the lesson, all of them. She loved the Lord and wanted them to and they did and they loved her. She will be missed and as David said in the death of his baby, “She can’t come back to me, but I can go to her”.” Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Henry Melvin Roberts. She died Saturday, March 6, 2010 She is survived by her Mother – Edna W. Roberts of Dublin, a brother, Dr. H. Edward Roberts of Cochran, 5 nephews, 1 niece many cousins, 6 aunts, 4 uncles and 1 great aunt. Martin Roberts, Clark Roberts, Melvin Roberts, David Roberts, Gregory Wilcher and Garrett Wilcher will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church.

I am so sorry about Cheryl. Joan told me about her long illness and sickness. She was always a beautiful person with a beautiful smile for everyone. She loved her family and she loved God and was always active in church work wherever she lived. I enjoyed the times with Cheryl, her mother and myself sitting in the kitchen at the Stuckey House playing Kismet. Prayers are for Mrs. Roberts ans all the family members. May you look to God for comfort, peace and understanding. Love to all Patsy

I just wanted to say Cheryl was a wonderful person. We all loved her here at Laurens Park Mill - the short time we had together. Our hearts goes out to each of you and you will be in our prayers. Take comfort in the Lord he will give you the strength you need to help you get through this loss. She is in heaven rejoicing with the Angels that she has made it home. She doesn't have to be worry about anything anymore. Her body is free from pain - she is completely healed now - and best of all she is with the Lord. She has made it home and we are all still striving to get there. She'll be waiting for us all on the other side. Just hold your heads up high and look up for his redemption draweth nigh. It won't be long and we will all be going home to be with our Lord and all of our loved ones that have gone before us. You all will be in our prayers daily. May God Bless You Always.

I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Cheryl and coming to know that she was a very sweet & considerate person. I know that she loved her family so much, and that made her an even more beautiful person inside & out! Dr Roberts was our physician until his illness, so I know that this is a wonderful and loving family....and I know Ms. Cheryl will be missed. May God be with you all during this time.
