Alegra Day

Funeral service for Alegra Evans Day, age 77, of Glenwood, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Kevin Tanner will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.  Mrs. Day died Sunday, July 1, 2018.

Mrs. Day was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.  She was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Day was little, but fierce, and never met a stranger.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robbie L. Day, and parents, Robert J.and Lorene Davis Smith.

Survivors include her daughters, Dawn (Ronnie) Sistrunk, April Day, both of Glenwood, Robyn Day, of NewYork;  grandchildren, Angela Leigh Ivey, of Dublin, Dayton Evan Wilkes, of Brewton; brothers, Keith Evans, of Columbia, SC, Stanton (Shannon) Evans, of Glenwood; and nephew, Shaun Evans, of Atlanta.

The Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Rock Springs Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
