Betty Jean Floyd

Services for Betty Jean Floyd, age 80, of Dublin, will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Marie Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home, Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Betty Jean was a member of Marie Baptist Church. She was an avid Braves fan and loved spending time outdoors and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She worked at Forstmann for 38 years. Mrs. Floyd passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019 and was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Abraham Giddens and Betty Lee Brown Giddens, sister; Ruthie Mae Holmes, brothers; Russell Giddens, Earl Giddens, Robert Giddens, and a son; Burt Sheffield.

Survivors include her children; Tracy (Robert) Warren of Eastman, Teresa Hester of East Dublin, Greg Sheffield of Buford, grandchildren; Eric (Danielle) Allen, Jamie (Jessica) Hester, Robbie Hester, Robin Hester, Tanya (Skyler) Teasley,

16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a sister Bertie Rowland of Cochran.

James Giddens, Bobby Giddens, Ernie Purser, Bruce Holmes, Ernest Holmes, and Lonnie Dabbs will serve as pallbearers and the Faith Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The family will be at the home of Eric and Danielle Allen. In lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Marie Baptist Church Piano Fund.
