Brenda (Lucas) Bush

Services for Brenda L. Bush, age 64, of Dublin, will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Dudley Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Billy Daws Rev. Myles Johnston, and Rev. Gerald Frazier will officiate.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30 PM.  Mrs. Bush died Thursday, January 24, 2019.

Mrs. Bush was born in Hawkinsville and was a 1972 graduate of Cochran High School. She was also a 1975 graduate of Georgia Southern College and in 1977 received her Master’s Degree from Georgia Southwestern.  Mrs. Bush was a retired school teacher from Laurens County Board of Education.  She was a member of Dudley Baptist Church and the Bible Believers Sunday School Class since 1979.  Mrs. Bush loved teaching and being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Roberta Smith Lucas.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Bush, of Dublin; daughters, Christina (Ben) Kight, of Dublin, and Rebecca (Grant) Buro, of Acworth; grandchildren, Braelen Kight, Brody Kight, Brenna Kight, Jackson Buro, and Colton Buro; and multiple family members from Cochran.

Justin Bush, Lew Bush, Stacy Johnson, Mike Lucas, Andy Lucas, Jason Johnson, Dallas Christian, and Gerald Frazier will serve as pallbearers.
