Dewey Arter Mimbs. Age 81, of East Dublin passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018.
Mr. Mimbs was a graduate of Condor High School. He proudly served in the armed forces with The United States Army. Mr. Mimbs was employed with Oxford as a supervisor, he then later was employed with the Laurens County Public Works. Mr. Mimbs was preceded in death by his parents; Dewey J. Mimbs and Elma Glover, and sister, Donnie Rutledge.
Survivors include his wife; Penny Mimbs of East Dublin, son, Mark Mimbs (Amy) of Cochran, daughters, Angela Tanner (Rex) of Dublin, Tammy King (Al) of Forsyth, and Charlotte Willis of Dublin. 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, nephew Darryl Rutledge (Michelle) of Dublin, great nephew Christopher Rutledge of Dublin also survive. Furry friends of Mr. Mimbs; cat, Cupcake and dog, Remi also survive.
Services for Mr. Mimbs will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Billy Glossen will officiate. The Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service Saturday in the chapel. Interment will be held at Dublin Memorial Gardens following the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mr. Mimbs grandsons; Matt Jett, Cory Jett, Taylor Tanner, B.J. Willis, Keaton Pope, and Brent Mimbs.
