Diane (Franks) Getzfred

Diane Franks Getzfred, age 68, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018.

Diane graduated from Dublin High School in 1967 and Fall College in Atlanta, GA where she studied business. Diane worked with the State of Georgia in Atlanta and then worked in civil service at the Cecil Fields Naval Air Base where she met her husband Ron Getzfred. Diane was a devoted mother and grandmother throughout her life. She enjoyed gardening where she grew camellias and gardenias from her grandmother’s garden and serving as a Cub Scout Webiel Leader.

Mrs. Getzfred was preceded in death by her father, Euree Franks; maternal grandparents, J.W. and Sally Lee Lovett and paternal grandparents, C.B. and Corrine Franks.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Getzfred, of Dallas, GA; son, Brendan Getzfred, and daughter, Brittany Getzfred, both of Dallas, GA; grandsons, Gavin Benson and Bryce Benson, both of Dallas, GA; mother, Grace Franks, of Dublin and brother, David Franks, of Dublin.

Services for Mrs. Getzfred will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, April 16, 2018 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Jay Moore will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until funeral hour on Monday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Monroe Lovett, Bobby Lovett, Kenny Franks, Mike Franks, and David Franks will serve as pallbearers.
