Dorothy Lord Obituary

Dorothy Brown Lord, age 91, of Toomsboro, GA, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 2:00PM until funeral hour at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Toomsboro. Graveside services will follow at 3:00PM in the church cemetery. Rev. Stephen Dyar will officiate.

Mrs. Lord was a homemaker and member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was an avid reader who loved to sew, garden, quilt, cook, and talk about the Bible. She was the devoted wife of 51 years to the late Robert Lamar Lord. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, William Clark Brown and Minnie Lee Etheridge Brown, and grandchildren, Evan and Robert Lord and Jesse Lane Harrison, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Dinah Lord Harrison, of Toomsboro, Joe Lord, of Forsyth, Richard Lord (Michele), of Fayetteville, and Cara Lord, of Dallas; grandchildren, Lane Harrison (Amie), Angel Dyar (Stephen), Brad Lord (Amy), Sophia Lord, Clark Lord, Ester Lord, Russell Lord, Neal Ellison, Brian Ellison, and Alexander Ellison, and eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Serenity Hospice and the Emerald City Assisted Living.
