Dorothy Gene (Cook) Pierce

Dorothy Gene Cook Pierce, age 84, of Dublin, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Serenity Place surrounded by her loving family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Pine Forest United Methodist Church. Dr. Joel Dent, Rev. Wes Moye, and Rev. Donnie Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service hour at the church.

Mrs. Pierce was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church and the ladies Sunday School Class. She loved to bowl and was prior President of the Dublin Jr. Bowling Association. She was also a partner of the Telephone Pioneers and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her parents, Tom Lee and Hattie Holliday Cook, and brothers, Raymond Cook and Jack Cook.

Survivors include her husband Ed Pierce, of Dublin; children, Angela Pierce Watson (Steve), of Dublin, Steve Pierce (Laura), of Huntsville, AL and Sheila Pierce Pineyro (Daniel), of Milton, GA; grandchildren, Ben Pierce, Gary Pierce, Ashley Watson, Megan Watson, and Michael Pineyro, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will be at the home of Megan Watson. In lieu flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Serenity Hospice, 520 Hillcrest Pkwy, Dublin, GA 31021.
