Elmer Lee Lane

Elmer Lee Lane, age 90, of Dexter, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, November 8, 2019 in Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Rick Tooley will officiate.

Mrs. Lane was a native of Laurens County and farmed her entire life. Her pride and joy was her bulldog, “Little Man”. She was the daughter of the late Joel Obie Alligood and Beatrice Shepherd Alligood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Cullen Lane; brothers, Lester Alligood, Malcolm Alligood, Joe Alligood, and Carlos Alligood; sister-in-law and special friend, Julia Alligood; niece, Tammy Alligood; nephew, Ken Alligood, and great-nephew, Greg Thompson.

She is survived by sisters-in-law, Evelyn Alligood, of Macon, and Rita Alligood, of Rentz; nieces, Lynn Alligood, of Dublin, Rhonda Ashbee, of Cornelia, Karen Gay, of Dublin, Brenda Wilson (Donald), of Byron, Elaine Alligood, of Macon, and Pam Alligood, of Rentz; nephew, Mike Alligood (Delane), of Wrightsville, and 26 great- nieces and nephews.
