Evelyn (Norris) Spivey

Evelyn Norris Spivey, age 87, of East Dublin, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, June 24, 2019, in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Tommy Veal will officiate.

Mrs. Spivey was born February 4, 1932 in Laurens County to the late Julius and Sara Loyd Norris. She was a member of Gethsemane Methodist Church and worked over the years as a bookkeeper, Pink Lady at Fairview Park Hospital, and a substitute teacher with the Laurens County Board of Education. She also volunteered at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Spivey.

Survivors include her children, Terry (Bennie) Helton, and Chuck (Wendy) Spivey; grandchildren. Jason (Candice) Helton, Michelle (Todd) Townsend, Julian (Aprille) Spivey, Heath (Brittany) Helton, Jonathan Spivey, Joshua (Stephanie) Spivey, and Christopher (Jessica) Helton; great-grandchildren, Jase Helton, Addison Townsend, J.T. Townsend, Annabelle Helton, Ella Helton, Peyton Helton, Avery Helton, and Ansley Helton.
