Harvey "Buddy" Lee Townsend

Harvey Lee “Buddy” Townsend, age 76, of Dublin, passed away on November 8th, 2019.

Mr. Townsend was born on January 27th, 1943 to the late Charlie D. Townsend and Lula Mae Glisson Townsend. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Lynwood Townsend, Carl E. Townsend, and J.W. Townsend and grandson; Jordan Knight.

Mr. Townsend was employed by the Georgia Department of Transportation. He enjoyed people and before his illness he loved to shoot pool. He loved spending time with his family.

The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home on Sunday November 10th, 2019 beginning at 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Following visitation there will be a private family memorial service with interment to follow.

Mr. Townsend is survived by his wife; Connie Moorman Townsend of Dublin, sister; Alma Martin (Nolan) of Wrightsville, stepson; Larry Knight (Angel) of Dublin, grandchildren; Shelbie Knight of Dublin, Summer Knight of Dublin, Dawson Knight (Katie) of Jacksonville, North Carolina, great grandchild; Delta May Knight of Jacksonville, North Carolina, nieces; Jill Clark (Jamie) of Tinnelle and Gayle Watring (Ryan) of Missouri.
