Jake C. Belle, Jr., age 72, of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2019.
Mr. Belle was born in Laurens County and was the son of the late Jake C. Belle, Sr., and the late Ida Mae Arp Belle Hardin. Jake was owner of Jake’s Troubleshooting and was previously employed by Sutton Construction, and Hogan Livestock, and retired the Laurens County Public Works Department.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Belle was preceded in death by two step-fathers, Hillis Mack Lawson and James E. Hardin; step-brother, Wallace Lawson; and step-sisters, Lois L. Crowley, Margaret L. Hartley and Saralyn L. Percival.
Survivors include his daughter, Dinesha Belle, of Dublin; grandchildren, Jake Alexander Belle Clark, Stephen Daniel Clark, and Stephanie Kaye Clark, all of Dublin; sisters, Gloria Belle (John) Coleman, of Dublin, and Edna Belle (Frank) Miller, of Statesboro, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 1:00PM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Rev. David Pohto will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Gary Frost, Mitchell Graham, Grady Coleman, Matt Taylor, Buck Silas, Sid Harrison, and Tim Kennedy.
