Jason Earl Evans, age 38, of Rentz, died Saturday, September 8, 2018.
Mr. Evans was a truck driver with Register Trucking and attended Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. Jason loved racing and as a huge Earnhardt Fan. He was also a race car driver and loved spending his weekends driving his own #88 racecar at his beloved 441 Speedway.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Beasley Evans; children, Chassidy Evans, Austin Evans, and Dalton Evans; parents, David Ivey Evans and Jean Johnson Evans; sister, Wendy Evans Amram; brothers, Tony Johnson and Randy (Lynn) Johnson; nieces and nephews, Kara (Cameron) Barnes, Kiley Dixon, Abby Amram, Makenzie Varnam, Jasmine Reynolds, Britney Reynolds, Dylan Reynolds, Lance Sanders, Halie Johnson and Dylan Johnson; great nephews, Clayton Barnes and James Stafford; Granny, Faustine Evans, and several beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandfather, Algerine Evans; grandparents, B. J. and Noella Johnson, and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation for Mr. Evans will be Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 11, 2018, in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Gay Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Randy Johnson, Tony Johnson, Steve Reynolds, Wally Johnson, Kristopher Deese and Cameron Barnes. Alvin Champion will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Mrs. Evans to help with funeral expenses.
