Jerry Lee Young

Jerry Lee Young, age 59, of East Dublin, passed away on November 17, 2019.

Mr. Young was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Mr. Jerry Don Young and Dale Moore Gideon of Inola, Oklahoma. He retired as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. After his retirement in the Air Force, he was employed by Robins Air Force Base as a Lead Technical Specialist, retiring from there as well. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, and especially his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife; Betty “BJ” Young of East Dublin, daughter; Selena Kirkpatrick (James) of Sumpter, SC, son; Jerry Young of Bonaire, GA, step daughter; Shelley Kicklighter of Rocklegde, GA, stepson; Brian Joiner (Cassidy) of Warner Robins, GA, grandchildren; Presley Selestok and Gentry Kicklighter of Rockledge, GA, Savannah Kirkpatrick of Sumpter, SC, brother; John Young of Cushing, OK, and sister; Janet Rogers of Inola, OK.

Services for Mr. Young will be held in the Chapel of the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA, beginning at 2:30pm on November 22, 2019. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

The United States Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers.
