Mr. Joe W. Smith, age 97, of Dublin, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center.
Mr. Smith was a native of Laurens County. He was the son of the late Hardy Smith and Inez Sessions Smith. He was a retired Newspaper Printer and was a member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Smith was a US Army Veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Perry Smith.
Survivors include Brothers in law and Sister in law; Mickey Perry, JoNell P. Smith and Gene Scarboro, several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held for Mr. Smith at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Northview Cemetery. Townsend Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
