John Edmond Tanner

Services for John Edmond “Ed” Tanner, age 77, will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 17, 2018, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Springs Cemetery.  Rev. W. L. Currie will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.  Mr. Tanner died Thursday, December 13, 2018. 

Mr. Tanner was an active member of Central Drive Baptist Church. Ed loved his wife Mildred and spending time with his family and friends.  He was an RV enthusiast and enjoyed spending time at the lake. 

Mr. Tanner was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas D. and Atha Bass Tanner; brothers, James David Tanner, and Thomas D. Tanner, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Graham Tanner, of Dublin, children, Terri Brown (Ricky), of Dublin, Johnny Tanner (Angie), of Montrose, Robert Tanner (Donna), Dublin, Timmy Tanner (Donna), of Cadwell; Step-daughter, Carol Grubbs, of East Dublin; many grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and sister, Jean Causey (Bill), of Macon.

Ryan Melvin, Jonah Tanner, Bill Causey, Heath Holmes, Luke Helton,  Jermey Lord, and Austin Hill will serve as pallbearers,
