Laverne (Barwick) Johnson

Services for Laverne Barwick Johnson, age 80, of East Dublin, will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Carters Chapel.  Rev. Vaughn Clark and Rev. C. W. Mullis will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday.  Mrs. Johnson died Sunday, October 7, 2018. 

Mrs. Johnson was a member of East Dublin Assembly of God, but attended Faith Christian Family Worship Center.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved her family and enjoyed cooking.  Mrs. Johnson retired from Forstmann.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Mazie Lee Reese Barwick.

Survivors include her children, Tonia (Duall) Beasley, Tammy Johnson, Tina (Tracy) Joiner, Tal (Denise) Johnson, all of East Dublin; grandchildren, Josh Beasley, Rashanda Jackson, Ramanda Miller, Leondra Fordham, Jeff Kemp, Ratosha Kemp, Tamika Kemp, Angel Kemp, Dakota Johnson, Alayanah Johnson; fifteen great grandchildren; brothers, Lanier Barwick, Wayne Barwick, Jimmy Barwick, and James Barwick; and several nieces and nephews.

Matthew Channel, Dakota Johnson, Lionel Rozar, Richie Sharpe, Micheal Cowart, Brandon Glover, Stacy Kittrell, and Zack Barwick will serve as pallbearers.
