Lokella (Thomas) Schell

Lokella Thomas Schell, age 77, of Dudley, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018.

Mrs. Schell was born in Laurens County to the late Oder “Bubba” and Blanche Dominy Thomas. She was a member of the First Independent Methodist Church and retired from Flexsteel Industries. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Matra Alligood Thomas; brother, Lester Thomas, and grandson, Michael Gay.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Schell, of Dudley; daughters, Kristy Schell Warren (Jerry) and Dawn Schell Kelly (Charlie), both of Dudley, and Leigh Schell Miner (Mike), of Cochran; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronnie Thomas (Patsy), of Milledgeville and Benny Thomas, of Dudley; sister-in-law, Anne Thomas, of Atlanta, and several nieces and nephews.

The family of Mrs. Schell will receive friends on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 22, 2018 in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Thomas Wicker will officiate.
