Marie Thomas Garnto

Mrs. Marie Thomas Garnto, age 83 of Dublin, passed away on September 7, 2019 at Serenity Place.

Mrs. Garnto was born July 21, 1936 to Annie and Gordon Thomas.  She was a member of First Christian Church and was a retired school bus driver for the Laurens County Board of Education. 

In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Horace E. Garnto, a grandson; Keith Garnto, sister; Mary Ann Beacham.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 10, at First Christian Church with burial to follow at Northview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Church from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour. Rev. Billy Glosson will officiate.

Survivors include her sons; Horace Emory Garnto, Jr. (Terri), Phillip Ray Garnto (Debra), Jeffery Kim Garnto, grandsons; Christopher James Garnto, Chadwick Phillip Garnto (Crystal), Emory Eric Garnto, (Michelle), Andrew Brett Garnto (Janice), great grandchildren;  Taylor Garnto, Hunter Garnto, C.J. Garnto, Kemp Garnto, J.T. Garnto, Kaylee Garnto, Kiara Elliott, Christopher Bedgood, Waylon Bedgood, Brett Keith Garnto, Dani Michelle Garnto, Emory James “E.J.”  Garnto, all of East Dublin, sister; Rose Thomas (Johnnie) Robinson of Dublin, brother; Frank (Peggy) Thomas of Dublin, other relatives and a special niece, Cynthia Burge.
