Mrs. Marion Murray Carter passed away Monday February 5, 2018 at Serenity Place in Dublin, GA. Ms. Carter was 95 years of age. Marion passed peacefully and now rests with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Marion was born in Jonesboro, GA the youngest of three children born to Mr. & Mrs. Reuben E. Murray.
For most of her life Marion lived and worked in the towns of Forest Park and Jonesboro, moving to College Park when she married the love of her life Dr. Albert W. Carter; A.W. passed in 1986. Marion is also pre-deceased by her two brothers, Reuben and Bill Murray and daughter-in-law Phyllis Johnson Mann.
Marion is survived by family members Tom Mann (son), BJ Mann (grandson) and his wife Jody, and the Williams Family - Marcia & John and Gloria & Derek Ehmen.
Mrs. Carter is also survived by her very special family who cared for her and loved her dearly as Marion did each of them during her time living in Dublin - Mamie Adams, Cheryl Braswell, Sandra Crafton, Pat Johnson, and Hope Williams. These wonderful ladies contributed greatly to the joy and comfort Ms. Carter experienced during this season of her life.
Local services to be held at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home Tuesday, February 6 @ 4pm - 215 West Jackson Street Dublin, GA.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday @ 1pm at West View Cemetery College Park, GA - Section 6A Lot 735.
