Michael Orlanda Slaughter

Michael Orlanda Slaughter, age 29, of Dublin, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Living Hope Word Church. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00PM until service hour at the church. Pastor Carlos Jones, and Rev. Tyler Daniel will be officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Clifford Garnto, Jud Green, Ed Bland, Demetrius Green, Jamal Green, Chris Lewis, Javaris Lewis, Maurice Slaughter, and Tony White.

Michael was a teacher at West Laurens High School and was very active with the Boys and Girls Club. He was passionate about wrestling and coaching and loved helping others achieve their best. He idolized his wife and son and loved his family and extended family deeply. Mike was a member of Connection Church and his infectious smile and love of life will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Emanuel Slaughter.

Survivors include his wife, Emily Slaughter, of Dublin; son, Aiden Slaughter; parents, Jud and Jenny Green, of Dublin; brothers, Evan Green and Austin Green, both of Dublin; father, Darren Lewis; mother, Lisa Slaughter; sisters, Jomeshia Slaughter and Flossie Odum, and numerous other extended family members.
