Nettie Faye Thomas

Nettie Faye Thomas, age 85, of Cadwell, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.

Mrs. Thomas was born in Laurens County to the late Truman and Emmie Diers Ward. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Thomas retired from Eastman Drugs. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Thomas; brothers, Roy Ward, Donald Ward, Ernie Ward, Cecil Ward, and Vanzel Ward, and sisters, Avis Cherry, Thetus Carter and Myrtice Wright

Survivors include her children, Kay Stuckey (Don), of Cadwell, Ray Thomas (Deborah), of Rentz, Jane Lindsey, of Cadwell, and David Thomas, of Cadwell; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Deborah Mincey Ward and Bobbie Thomas, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Rusty Brown will officiate. The family will receive friends after the service in the church social hall.
