Patricia "Patsy" H. Skinner

Patricia “Patsy” H. Skinner, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Serenity Place. 

Patsy was born in Glennville, GA on April 7, 1933, to the late Harvey Strange and the late Leila Drake Strange. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Georgia College in Milledgeville and add on degree from Valdosta State.  She was an Educator for many years retiring from the Dublin City School System. She was a lifetime member of the Page Teachers Association, serving as President one term many years ago. She taught with the county school system in Montrose and in Dublin City Schools for several years.

 She was a member of Pine Forest Church and was the Family Coordinator 2 terms and taught Sunday School for several years. Mrs. Skinner was a Charter member of Lady of Moose,and was past member of four bridge clubs.

Survivors include her husband, George A. Skinner of Dublin, children; James T. Skinner of Cape San Blas, FL, Katie Skinner Davis of Dublin, John Richard Skinner of Valdosta, grandchildren; Mason McAffee of Savannah, Patrick (Jessica) McAffee of Pooler,  Michael  (Traci) Mann of Sarasota, FL, Christopher Mann of Destin, FL, Gregory (Sara) Mann of Atlanta, Jordan Hinson of Port St. Joe, FL, Leann Hinson of Panama City, FL,  David Green of Boise, ID, Kelly Ann Skinner Davis of Dublin, cousins, Bobby Jo  Strange Mitch of Illinois, Margaret Franklin of Metter, Mickey Kicklighter of Arlington, VA, Nancy Hagey of Douglasville, GA, Jane Benton of Lyons.

In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her first husband, William J. Hinson, daughters, Patricia E. Graham, Pamela Hinson Mann sons William “Billy” Hinson, Ronald Skinner.

The family will receive friends at Pine Forest United Methodist Church, Tuesday, June 25, 2019  from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM with funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Rev. Wes Moye and Dr. Joel Dent will officiate. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the We Care Ladies  of Pine Forest United Methodist Church, 400 Woods Avenue, Dublin, GA 31021.
