Peggy Elizabeth Kilgore Outlaw, age 87, of East Dublin, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Outlaw was born in Laurens County to the late H.D. and Auda Mae Ward Kilgore. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and previously worked at Williamson’s Bakery and J.P. Stevens. Peggy also worked alongside her husband of 68 years, Hall Outlaw, at Hall’s Florist in East Dublin. She was a devoted wife, and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Outlaw, and brothers, Hugh Kilgore and Ray Kilgore.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Cindy Veal (Melvin), of East Dublin; grandson, Justin Veal (Jennifer), of Dublin; granddaughter, Kaylie Veal, of East Dublin; great-grandson, Jase Veal, of Dublin; special friend, Patsy Carter, of East Dublin; sister, Betty Cook, of East Dublin; brother, Fred Kilgore (Lanie), of East Dublin; sisters-in-law, Melba Kilgore and Becky Kilgore, both of East Dublin, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Matt Haywood, Rev. Milton Thomas, Rev. Mike Kilgore, and Rev. Tommy Pulliam will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Canady, Shawn Canady, Daniel Yarbrough, Dean Veal, Johnny Tarpley, David Kilgore, Keith Foskey, and Timothy Kilgore.
