Phyllis Hightower (Bracewell) Jones

Services for Phyllis Hightower Jones, age 77, of East Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 20, 2017,  at Rock Springs Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.  Rev. Phillip Hightower and Rev. Curtis Vincent will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM Sunday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.  Mrs. Jones died Thursday, November 16, 2017.

Mrs. Jones was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church and a former employee of Super-X Drugs and Mohawk Industries.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvie and Lena Bracewell; brothers, Randal Bracewell, Dan Bracewell, and Terrell Bracewell; sister, JoAnn Brown; father of her children, Bobby F. Hightower; and sister-in-law, Geraldine Bracewell.

Survivors include her husband, George Alvis Jones, of East Dublin; children, Debbie (Michael) Warren, of Dexter, Tim (Ronda) Hightower, of East Dublin, and Phillip (Gayle) Hightower, of Dublin; sister, Kathy (Jose) Contreras, of East Dublin; brother, Gary Bracewell, of East Dublin; grandchildren, Sheera and Derek Warren, Jody, Heather, and Caleb Hightower, and Brandi and Craig Hightower; great grandchildren, Emily Herrera, and Jayci Rae Hightower; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jody Hightower, Caleb Hightower, Craig Hightower, Derek Warren, Jose Contreras, and DeeJay Young will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Melton and Grant Waid.
