Richard Horace Barron, Sr.

Richard Horace Barron, Sr., age 83, of Rentz, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018.

Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Rentz Baptist Church with burial to follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tom Vann and Mr. Jeff Handley will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00AM until funeral hour at the church.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Handley, Jeff Morton, JR Turner, Troy Turner, John Blackwell, and Ray Yancey.

Mr. Barron was a member of Rentz Baptist Church. He was a father figure to many and loved by many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley D. Nichols Barron; parents, Walter Franklin Barron and Ella Erma Rowland Barron, and son in law, James E. Carpenter.

Survivors include his son, Richard H. Barron, Jr. (Donna), of Miami, FL; daughter, Virginia B. Carpenter, of Rentz; son, Larry D. Barron (Tammy), of Rentz; granddaughter, Michelle Montilla (Danny), of Plantation, FL; grandson, Matthew Barron, of Pembroke Pines, FL; great-granddaughters, Alexandra Montilla, of Plantation, FL and Madison Barron, of Pembroke Pines, FL; and brother-in-law, Roger Nichols, of Crystal River, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Serenity Hospice, 520 Hillcrest Pkwy, Dublin, GA 31021.
