Robert Dane Goode, age 66, of Dublin, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 after a brief illness.
Mr. Goode was retired owner and operator of Tower Specialist Services, a business he started after working in the tower business for over 20 years. He was of the Baptist faith and loved racing of all kinds. Dane was an avid supporter of his grandchildren in their various sporting events and was always proud of their accomplishments on the field and in life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Lee Goode and Julia Brooks Goode; brother, Jimmy Goode and sister, Freda Goode Harnage.
Survivors include his wife, Elinor Jeffers Goode, of Dublin; daughter, Dana Goode King, of Dublin; grandchildren, Tate Browning King, Callie Michelle King, and Reed Bailey King, all of Dublin; sisters, Linda Wilson, of Loganville, Carolyn Morse, of Roswell, Marlene Mathis (Melvin), of Tifton, and Kay Berkeypile (Kenny), of Athens; loyal companion, “Buster”, and several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Keith Brooks will officiate.
Pallbearers will be his nephews; Ben Mathis, Chad Mathis, Todd Wilson, Avery Mathis, David Skeppstron, and Matt Skeppstron.
