Roberta (Purvis) Jones

Roberta Purvis Jones, age 94 of Cedar Grove community, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019.

Mrs. Jones was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church.  She was retired from Roydon Wear in McRae. She enjoyed reading and doing Word Search games.  Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Purvis and Belle Hill Purvis, her husband, Paul Jones, daughter, Diane Jones, sisters; Audrey Todd, Frankie Lee Young and Deloris Baggett.

Survivors include her daughters; Judy (Steve) Mullis of Cadwell, Robin Jones of Ft. Worth, TX, grandson; Steve (Lauresa) Mullis, Jr. of Cadwell, great grandchildren; Evan Mullis and Emma Mullis, sister; Marion Townsend of Wilmington, De, family friend; Penny (Peter) Pastore, several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Michael Hammond will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Church prior to the service from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour.

Raymond Mullis, Steve Mullis, Jr., Evan Mullis, Eric Vickers, Tim Talbot, and Mark Talbot will serve as pallbearers.
