Ronald Wayne Woodard

Ronald Wayne Woodard, age 74, of Rentz, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 2:00PM until 3:00PM with a funeral services to follow in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Tom Vann will officiate. Burial will be held privately at a later date.

Mr. Woodard retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections. He collected model cars and enjoyed going to classic car shows. He also enjoyed dirt track racing and watching western TV shows, but his greatest joy was found in spending time with his family. Mr. Woodard was preceded in death by his parents, Claxton and Adon Hobbs Woodard; and siblings, Glenda Coleman, Barbara Grinstead and Buddy Woodard.

Survivors include his son, Ron Woodard (Jennifer), of Rentz; daughter, Kim Woodard Turner (Russell), of Dublin; 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson; brother, George Woodard (Diane), of Rentz; sister, Janice Woodard, of Virginia Beach, VA, and several nieces and nephews.

The family requests everyone attending the visitation and funeral service to dress casually.
