Ruth (Mimbs) Williams

Ruth Mimbs Williams, age 65, of East Dublin, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018.

Services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Gethsemane United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Carters Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. L.T. Loque will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home on Sunday, January 14, 2018.

Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Ruth was born on August 2, 1952 in Tampa, Florida to the late John Gailord Mimbs Sr. and Julia Reynolds Mimbs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hilder Williams; son, David Williams; grandson, Blake Williams, and brother, John Mimbs, Jr.

Survivors include her son, John Williams (Dot), of East Dublin; daughter, Julie Williams, of Hawkinsville; brothers, Neal Mimbs (Mildred), of Cochran, Emory Mimbs (Marie), of Millegeville, Paul Mimbs, of South Carolina, Bruce Mimbs (Angela), of Hawkinsville, Ken Mimbs, of Hawkinsville; sisters, Gail Mimbs, of Cochran, Nancy Cannon (Michael), of Chester, Sharon Tilson (Brad), of Cochran, Kathy Witherington (Eric), of Cochran; grandsons, David Williams, Jordan Thompson, John Williams Jr., Justin Williams, John Wesley Sheffield, Jonathan Williams; granddaughters, Harley Herndon, Brittany Nowling, Savannah Williams, Beth Williams, Caitlin Tilson, Annie Grace Williams, ten great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
