Thomas Ray Perry, age 91, of Dublin, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018.
Mr. Perry was a WWII Veteran of the United States Navy and served on the USS Julius A. Raven and the USS Chimaera. He was a member of Bethsaida Baptist Church and a farmer. He enjoyed gardening and was a great servant to his family, friends and community.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Warren White Perry and Bernice Joiner Perry; daughters, Donna Perry and Paula Perry; siblings, Felton Perry, Jewel Savage, Yvonne Powell, Warren Perry, James Perry, Virginia Dupree and Marion Edwards.
Survivors include his wife, Cathryn W. Perry, of Dublin; son, Randall Perry (Shirley), of Dublin; daughter, Annette Hardy, of Dublin; grandchildren, Chris Perry (Marsha), of Dublin, Emily Peterson (Chris), of Marshallville, and Shelby Edmondson and Ashleigh Wood, both of Dublin; great-grandchildren, Rachel Perry, Will Perry, Leah Spivey, Drew Spivey, Henry Peterson, Cage Kessler, Jordan Kessler; sisters, Vivian White and Mary Ellen Slaughter and many other great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Tom Harrison and Dr. Brad Ball will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Travis Craft, Scott Knight, Josh Woodard, Brian Bowles, Jason Perry and Tim Allen.
