Tommy Olan Shepherd

Tommy Olan Shepherd, age 63, of Montrose, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019.

Mr. Shepherd was employed with YKK for 22 years and was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, car racing, and loved his family deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buck Olan Shepherd and Mary Francis Green Shepherd, and a sister, Debra Boyt.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Shepherd, of Montrose; children, Cody Shepherd, of Dublin, Jeremy Shepherd (Nicole), of Jacksonville, FL, and Christopher Johnson (Savannah), of Temple, TX; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Randy Shepherd (Bonnie), of Montrose and Wayne Shepherd (Flo), of Dublin; sister, Pat Outlaw (Jay), of Dublin, several nieces and nephews, and his loving dog “CoCo”.

Services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, September 22, 2019 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery. Minister Johnny Scaggs will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until funeral hour on Sunday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Mr. Shepherd’s nephews will serve as pallbearers.
