Vivian "Biddie" Dunn Obituary

Vivian “Biddie” Dunn was called home to be with our heavenly father on Saturday, February 10, 2018. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by his closest family.

Biddie was a Dublin born native who moved to Warner Robins where he was a very skilled and talented carpenter. There he built many homes and a successful hotel. He was also a military man enlisting in the Army in 1951 where he drove a tank named “Old Faithful”. After his service to the United States Army had ended, he moved back to Dublin where he continued to build homes. He also worked full time for the Laurens County Board of Education as a Bus Mechanic, where he retired. After retirement, he found a love for raising chickens and birds. Most days he could be found out back tending to them or just sitting, watching, and enjoying them.

He was a faithful attendee at the Laurens County Senior Citizen Center, where he had many friends. He was there daily and it was not uncommon to see a niece or nephew tag along for Bingo and lunch.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pansy Crafton Dunn; father, Grover Cleveland Dunn Sr.; brothers, C.G., Basil, Stafford, Rewis, Malcolm, and Fred Sr.; sister Agnes Page, and a nephew, Robert “Bobby” Imler.

Survivors include, nephews, James Dunn (Tasha), Julian Dunn, Fred Dunn Jr., Malcolm “Bud” Dunn Jr. (Judy), all of Dublin, and Chris Imler (Karen), of Jacksonville, FL; nieces, Mary Imler - Stevenson (Chris), of Reidsville and Mary Ellen Bell (Dalton), of Dublin; brother, Felton Dunn, of Ft. Worth, TX; sister, Blanche Wagner, of Dublin and countless other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews.

Biddie was a wonderful uncle and friend. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank everyone for all the kindness and support everyone has shown during their time of loss.

Graveside services for Biddie will be held at 4:00PM on Monday, February 19, 2018 in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Jody Martin will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Laurens County Senior Citizen Center, P.O. Box 8211, Dublin, GA 31040.
