Willa Dean (Brown) Jones

Willa Dean Brown Jones, age 80, of East Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.

Services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, April 19, 2019 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Thomas Lumley and Rev. Brandi Lumley will officiate.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Willa Dean was retired from J.P. Stevens and a member of Lighthouse Church of God in East Dublin. She loved her church and was an avid supporter of the youth and children’s ministry. She loved her family and grandchildren deeply and was a selfless woman of God with a heart for others.  Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Franklin Jones, Jr.; granddaughter, Christy Sumner; parents, John and Freda Brown; and brothers, Oris Brown and Lennis Brown.

Survivors include her sons, Dale Jones (Levonia), of East Dublin and David Jones (Kandy), of Rockledge; daughter, Sheryl Jones Sumner (Chris), of East Dublin; grandchildren, Spencer Jones, of Eastman, Torie Jones Soles, of East Dublin, Jennifer Jones Farrell (Christopher), of Fayetteville, NC, David Jones, Jr. (Natalie), of Dublin, Dessie Jones, of East Dublin; Brandi Sumner Lumley (Jason), of East Dublin; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Dillon Brown (Joann) and Leon Brown (Sandra), both of Alamo, and Lanier Brown, of Butler, and numerous nieces and nephews.
