William Bryant Boyer

William Boyer, age 89, of Rockledge, passed away on August 1, 2019.

Mr. Boyer was born in Rockledge to the late Mr. Chauncey Boyer and Zilphia Wilkes Boyer. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Boyer retired from JP Stevens-Forstman as a supervisor. After retiring from JP Stevens-Forstman, he worked for the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office. He was a farmer, a Mason with the Laurens County Lodge 75.Mr. Boyer was a member of Rockledge United Methodist Church. 

He is survived by his wife of 66 years Marlene Boyer; daughters, Lynne Drew and Dr. Carol Boyer, both of Dublin; granddaughters, Dana Faircloth (Daniel) of St. Mary’s, GA, Kimberly Castle (James) of Athens; great granddaughter, Anna Castle of Athens, and a brother Otis Boyer of Rockledge.

Services for Mr. Boyer will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019 beginning at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with interment to follow at Blue Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Barbara Nelson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:30PM until funeral hour.

John V. Thigpen, Tom Wood, Gerald Thigpen, Tom Harrison, Sonny Drum, and Bob Wood will serve as pallbearers.
