William "Billy" Edward Young

William “Billy” Edward Young, age 61, of Dublin, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

Mr. Young was born in Laurens County to the late Ted Young and the late Carolyn H. Tomlinson. Billy worked at BASF and was of the Baptist faith. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Deborah Lybrand and Mary Ann Vickers.

Survivors include his wife, Gail Kemp Young, of Dublin; son, Christopher Young (Erin Morris), of Dublin; siblings, Belinda Jones, Travis Young, Renee Clark, Brandy Dacus, Eric Young, Brian Young, Denise Prather, Kitty Young, Anthony Young, and Herman Herndon, Jr., and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, March 8, 2019 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Bro. Barry Knapp will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Ed “Buddy” Young, Mike Woodard, Greg Woodard, Richie Dixon, Steve Dixon, Keith Brooks, and Rob Rowe.
