Willie Arrington, Jr.

Willie Arrington, Jr., age 91, of Cadwell, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019.

Mr. Arrington was a native of Laurens County and born to the late Willie Arrington, Sr. and the late Lydia Horton Arrington. He was owner of Arrington’s Garage and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Rentz. He enjoyed feeding animals, especially fish, and also enjoyed fishing.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Graham; son, James Arrington; grandson, Dan Kirkley, and daughter-in-law, Grace Arrington.

Survivors include his daughter, Frances (Frankie) Allen, of Rentz; son, Charles (Teresa) Arrington, of Cadwell; 5 grandsons; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lucille A. Alligood, of Cochran and Marguerite Simmons, of Middleburg, FL and special friends, Nettie Faye Thomas and family.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Nolon McDaniel will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Larry Upshaw, Hilburn Smith, Shane Grinstead, Casey Clark, Tony Gay, and Jimmy Haynes.
