Alfred Wright Davidson, age 92, of Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016.

Services will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, September 29, 2016 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rentz Cemetery. Rev. Nolon McDaniel, David Rowe and Jonathan Rowe will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Mr. Davidson was a veteran of the United States Army and was a WWII, POW of the 101st Airborne. He retired from J.P. Stevens and was a policeman in Rentz. Mr. Davidson was a member of Poplar Springs South Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved God and his family deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Omie Davidson; wife, Eolia Watson Davidson; infant great-grandchild, Christian Theo Rowe; sisters, Lois Jones, Eppie Chandler and brothers, Hilton Davidson, Drew Davidson, Myron Davidson, Walter Davidson and Merwin Davidson.

Survivors include his daughter, Regina Davidson Rowe (Bill), of Rentz; son, Mark Davidson (Rhonda), of Dublin; grandchildren, David Rowe (Brittany), of Cadwell, Angel Rowe Abney (Ham), of Milledgeville, Jonathan Rowe (Chereese), of Rentz, Lauri Anna Davidson, of Dublin, Riley Davidson of Dublin and Bo Davidson, of Dublin; great-grandchildren, Graci, Benjamin, and Eden Rowe, of Cadwell, Jessica Hanna (Eric) and Sophia Abney, of Milledgeville and Ellie and Eva Rowe, of Rentz and several nieces and nephews.
