Services for Andy Shepard, age 58, of Dublin will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pinehill Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Sylvia Kersey will officiate. Mr. Shepard lived his entire life in Laurens County. He worked for the Macon Telegraph for 27 years and for the Courier Herald for the past several years. Andy was a free spirited man with a kind heart who never met a stranger. He was loved by many and was a loving, devoted, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, Thurmon Shepard, mother, Mary Jo Bass Shepard and a brother, Michael Shepard. Mr. Shepard passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012. He is survived by a son, Jaime Shepard (Kayla Hall) and granddaughter, Jasmine Shepard, all of Dublin. Pallbearers will be Duncan McEachern, Merle Brantley, Robert Rhodes, Freeman Shepard, David Shepard, Chuck Shepard, Steve Shepard and Jeff Shepard.
