Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Brown, age 79, of East Dublin, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 following a brief illness.

Mrs. Brown was born October 22, 1941 in Dublin, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, the late Loomis "Shine" Alligood and her brother, Ray Alligood. She was a graduate of Dexter High School and attended Dublin Business School. She was a longtime member of Dublin Church of God, where she taught Sunday school and was President of the Ladies Ministry. She was also a member and served as secretary of the Laurens County Council on Aging.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Paul Brown of East Dublin, mother, Evelyn Alligood of Dexter, two sisters, Linda Horne of Kathleen and Patsy (Virgil) Brantley of East Dublin, a step-son, Steve Brown of Soperton, three God-children, Britt Bearss of Arizona, Brian Bearss and Eric Bearss both of Dublin and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Dublin Church of God with Rev. Steve Hardeman officiating.
