Ann
Moore
Nov 5, 1945 — Sep 2, 2026
Mary Ann Moore, known to family and friends as Ann, passed away on September 2, 2026, in Macon, Georgia, at the age of 80.
Ann was born on November 5, 1945, in Dublin, Georgia, to the late John Robert and Lorriene English Durden. She lived a life marked by faith, devotion to family, and quiet strength, and she carried those values with her throughout her years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Eugene Moore.
Ann was a 1964 graduate of Dudley High and later completed her education at Crandall Business College. She went on to build a long and respected career, working for a number of years at C&S Bank before eventually retiring from Farmers Furniture. Through her work, she was known for her dependability, kindness, and strong sense of responsibility. She approached each season of life with grace and a steady spirit that left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
A devoted Christian, Ann was a faithful member of Jefferson Street Baptist Church. Her faith was an important part of her life and guided the way she cared for others and met the challenges of each day. She found comfort and joy in her church family and in the fellowship that came from sharing her beliefs with others. Her life reflected the values of compassion, humility, and perseverance.
Ann had many interests that brought her happiness over the years. She loved music and was a talented soprano singer whose voice was a gift to those who heard it. She was also an avid Dublin Fighting Irish fan and enjoyed cheering with enthusiasm and pride. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her daughter, Candace Jean Moore, and she especially cherished her weekly lunch dates with her sister, Betty Jo Price. These moments of companionship and conversation were among the treasures of her life.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Candace Jean Moore, and her sister, Betty Jo Price. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will remember her with affection and gratitude. Ann's life was one of devotion, faith, and love, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
