Obituary

Annie Lee Tanner Snellgrove passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016. Annie was born June 22, 1925, to William B. Tanner and Rebecca Coleman Tanner.

She attended Lowery School. She was the historian in the family. She kept up with births, weddings, and deaths in the family and community. Annie was the oldest living member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

She was also a charter member and very active in the Rock Springs Eastern Star until the Rock Springs Eastern Star joined with the Dublin Eastern Star.

Annie was married to Norris Snellgrove in December 1953. Annie loved her Lord Jesus Christ and was faithful to her church until declining health prohibited her from attending.

She was preceded in death by her parents William B. and Rebecca Tanner; husband, Norris Snellgrove; brothers, Thomas Tanner and George Tanner and five sisters, Ruby Chappell, Pearl Burgess, Mary Gala, Billie Morris and Margaret Page.

She is survived by a sister, Winifred T. Edge, and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dublinair Nursing Home for the loving care Annie was given for the past two years.

Services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Nolon McDaniel will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until funeral hour on Wednesday at the church.
