Services for Audrey Modelle Dixon Evans, age 93, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 6, 2017, in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with Terry Evans and Rev. Greg Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in the Cadwell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until the funeral hour.

Mrs. Evans was the daughter of the late Wm. Thomas Dixon and the late Mamie Vera Jones Dixon. She was a lifetime resident of Laurens County, retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural letter carrier and was a follower of Jesus Christ our Savior. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Millard Evans.

Survivors include her sons; Ricky N. Evans of Cadwell, Michael T. (Lee Ann) Evans of Dublin, grandchildren; Mindy Evans of Stone Mountain, Rebecca Young of Cadwell, Rickey Evans, Jr. of Cadwell, D. Lynn Rogers of Dodge County, Amanda Harrison of Eastman, Terry Evans of Woodstock and Donna Feuerbach of Cumming, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a brother in law; Everett Hamrick of Cochran.

Pallbearers will be David Mathis, Brian Young, Mike Harper, Roy Burch, Lawton Hamrick and Gene Williams.
