Audrey Nell Jernigan, age 82 of Dublin, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014. Services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Woodland Heights Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. C. Phil Tondee will officiate. Mrs. Jernigan was born in Glennville, GA to the late Lemual and Willie K. Davis DeLoach. After high school graduation, she married Billy G. Jernigan in 1950 and lived in and around the Brunswick, Glennville and Claxton area before settling in Dublin around 1958. She was owner and operator of Mother Goose Day Care Center, retiring in 1994. Mrs. Jernigan was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church. She attended meetings daily at the Laurens County Senior Citizens Center where she loved everyone and enjoyed their company. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Jernigan; son, William Clint Jernigan and brothers, Theron and Darwin DeLoach and Gary and Neal Sapp. Survivors include her son, Billy M. "Mike" Jernigan of Centerville; daughter-in-law, Cathy M. Jernigan of Centerville; granddaughters, Tiffany Jernigan of Centerville and Melissa Koch of Hortence; great-granddaughters, Marilyn Walls, Alycia Walls and Kaydeen Walls; great-grandson, Damien Walls and sister, Sandra Windham of Manassass. Pallbearers will be Roger Jernigan, Shane Eason, Gary Sapp, Tommy Jackson, Dale Morris and Justin Upshaw. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
