Obituary

Services for Barbara H. Bryan, age 47 of Dexter, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial will follow in the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Dexter. Mrs. Bryan died, Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Barbara was a lifelong resident of Laurens County. She was a graduate of Crandall College. She served as a secretary at Carl Vinson VA Medical Center for several years and worked for Larry's Appliance Repair and Janice's Antiques. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved everybody and had a special place in her heart for children and animals. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert Lee and Arlvustus Dixon Sawyer, and Wesley and Hessie Lee Heath Howell, and her cousins, Lisa Jean Sawyer and Andy Gay. She is survived by her husband, Rondy Bryan of Dexter; daughter, Kaylee Bryan of Dexter; mother, Janice (Larry) Poole of Dublin; father, Johnny H. (Hilda) Howell of Dublin; brothers and sisters, Freddie (Darla) Howell of Rentz, Eddie Howell, of Dublin, Chris (Alicia) Howell of Dublin, Shelia (Greg) See of Milledgeville, Randy (Tamara) Poole of VA, Stacie (Duane) Usry of Dublin; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Ruby Bryan of Dexter; sisters-in-law, Ann (Joseph) Cable of Sandersville and Debbie (Don)Beasley of East Dublin; brother-in-law, Robert Dykes (Tammy) Bryan of Rentz, and several nieces and nephews. Brandon Howell, Jonathan Howell, Chris Howell, Eddie Howell, Jeremy Bryan, and Christopher Taylor will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
