Services for Barbara L. Shepard, age 75, of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 29, 2016, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pine Hill United Methodist Church. Dr. Cliff Morris will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM. Mrs. Shepard died Monday, September 26, 2016.

Mrs. Shepard was a member of First Baptist Church and the Winsome Sunday School Class. She retired from the Dublin City School system after a thirty-four year teaching career and from managing Grumpy's Restaurant. She enjoyed sports.

Mrs. Shepard was preceded in death by her parents, Michael Joseph and Marion Neal Findley Leveson.

Survivors include her husband, Wiley Shepard, of Dublin; children, Linda Fordham, of Dublin, Laurie (Tommy) Hatcher, of Blackshear, Michael Shepard, of Dublin; granddaughters, Haley Hatcher, and Paige Hatcher, both of Blackshear.
