A memorial service will be held for Barnie Frank Dunn, age 71, of Dublin, at 2:00 PM Friday, December 4, 2015, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Brown and Dr. Jack Key will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the funeral home. Mr. Dunn died Tuesday, December 1, 2015. Mr. Dunn was an active member of First Independent Methodist Church and a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Army, he was a businessman in Eastman. Later he moved to Laurens County where he engaged in landscaping and cattle farming. Mr. Dunn was an avid gardener. He enjoyed traveling and making people laugh. Mr. Dunn loved God, family, church, and his country. Mr. Dunn was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Francis Purvis Dunn. Survivors include his wife, Mildred "Millie" Dunn, of Dublin; children, Hope (Roy) Williams, of Dexter, Pamela "Schari" (Monty) Hester, of Dublin, Frankie "Boy" (Sara) Dunn, of Eastman, Carmen (Reggie) Roberts, of Vidalia, Tara Powell, of Dublin, Stephanie (Winston) Domingo, of Lyons; son-in-law, Joey Powell, of Dublin; grandchildren, Danielle Hayes-Price, Brandon Hayes, Ben Dunn, Kristen Powell, Emma Powell, Katie Powell, Carson Roberts, Allie Roberts, Abbie Roberts, Michael Domingo, Catherine Domingo; great grandchildren, Yasmine Dunn, and Boone Hayes; brother, J. H. Dunn, of Scott. One of the hardest things to do is to say farewell to those who have walked ahead of us to our journey's end.
